We are happy to announce that the short experimental documentary film ‘Leave This Room Buried’ (Ovu sobu ostavite zakopanu), the directorial debut of editor and cinematographer Iva Kraljević, will have its premiere in the ‘Balkan Short Dox’ competition programme at the International Documentary and Short Film Festival DokuFest, taking place in Prizren (Kosovo) from August 7 to 15.
Working in the fields of documentary, animated, and experimental film, Kraljević presents a deeply personal work with her authorial debut, unfolding as a journey through a personal imaginary and fragile poetry while capturing grief, the complicity of silence, and fragments of presence in what remains.
The film, which Iva Kraljević also shot, edited, and sound designed, with Ivan Zelić on sound mixing, will continue its festival journey by screening at the 25 FPS Festival in Zagreb (September 22 – 26) as part of the Croatian films programme ‘Reflections’, and subsequently in the competition programme of the Days of Croatian Film in Karlovac (October 15 – 18). The film is produced by Kreativni sindikat, with producers Igor Grubić and Marijana Veljović, and distributed by Vanja Andrijević from Bonobostudio.
