Ivan Ramljak’s documentary-experimental film ‘Greetings from the Secretariat’ produced by
Kreativni sindikat, will be presented in the International Competition Programme of the 19th
edition of Archivio Aperto in Bologna, taking place from 22 to 26 October 2026.
The film is assembled from photographs found in an abandoned police station. Spanning several decades and two political systems, the photographs open a story about a society and its pathologies. This year, Ivan Ramljak was also awarded the Vedran Šamanović Award for ‘Greetings from the Secretariat’ recognizing the film’s innovative approach and its contribution to expanding the boundaries of film expression in Croatian cinema. Archivio Aperto is dedicated to archival film, experimental practices and new ways of
approaching and rethinking film and audiovisual heritage.
