The short documentary-experimental film ‘Greetings from the Secretariat’ by award-winning director and screenwriter Ivan Ramljak is coming to the 22nd ZagrebDox, the International Documentary Film Festival, held at Kaptol Boutique Cinema from April 19 to 26.
Composed of photographs discovered in an abandoned police station, this “true crime” found footage film leads us to the other side of the mirror, away from the sunny cheerfulness and colorful attractions of a popular Croatian tourist destination. Spanning several decades and two political systems, these crime scene photos adopt their own syntax, weaving a story about a society and its pathologies.
