The short animated film “Four” by Dea Jagić premieres at the Curta Cinema Festival! 🐺🐦🦊🐸

The latest short animated film Four by director and animator Dea Jagić will have its world premiere at the 35th Curta Cinema Festival in Brazil.

Four will be screened in the International Competition and is one of 130 selected titles from 33 countries, chosen from as many as 5,686 submitted films, a record number of entries.

Created using a combination of 2D animation and pixilation, the film tells an intriguing story about four beings who, in a world without water, embark on a mystical journey, summoning new life.

The film brought together numerous collaborators.
Dea Jagić is responsible for direction, cinematography, animation, and production design. The screenplay was written by Dea Jagić and Božidar Trkulja, editing by Iva Kraljević, post-production by Mario Kalogjera, while sound design was created by Tomislav Turković and Tonči Kušek. The pixilation performer is Lidija Kraljić.

The film Four was produced by Kreativni sindikat, with Igor Grubić as producer and Marijana Veljović as executive producer. Vanja Andrijević from Bonobostudio is responsible for distribution. The film was co-financed by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) and the City of Zagreb.

The festival takes place from March 25 to April 1 in Rio de Janeiro.
The winners of the national and international competitions automatically qualify for the Academy Awards (Oscars). 😊
